Every investor should be able to invest in right investment products based on their needs, manage and monitor them to meet their goals, access reports and enjoy financial wellness.

B. Details of Business Transacted by the Research Analyst

  • To publish research reports based on the research activities of the Research Analyst.
  • To provide an independent, unbiased view on securities.
  • To offer unbiased recommendations while disclosing financial interests in recommended securities.
  • To provide research recommendations based on analysis of publicly available information and known observations.
  • To conduct an audit annually.
  • To ensure that all advertisements comply with the Advertisement Code for Research Analysts.
  • To maintain records of interactions with all clients, including prospective clients prior to onboarding, where conversations relating to research services have taken place.

C. Details of Services Provided to Investors

Onboarding of Clients

  • Sharing the terms and conditions of research services.
  • Completing KYC of fee-paying clients.

Disclosures to Clients

  • To disclose information material for an informed decision, including business activities, disciplinary history, terms and conditions of research services, associates, risks and conflicts of interest, if any.
  • To disclose the extent of use of Artificial Intelligence tools in providing research services.
  • While distributing a third-party research report, to disclose any material conflict of interest of that provider or provide a web address directing the recipient to the relevant disclosures.
  • To disclose conflicts between the activity of providing research services and the Research Analyst's other activities.
  • To distribute research reports and recommendations to clients without discrimination.
  • To maintain confidentiality regarding publication of a research report until it is available in the public domain.
  • To respect clients' data-privacy rights and protect confidential information against unauthorised use.
  • To disclose timelines for services and ensure adherence to those timelines.
  • To provide clear guidance and adequate caution notices when recommending complex and high-risk financial products or services.
  • To treat all clients with honesty and integrity.
  • To keep information shared by clients confidential unless disclosure is legally required or the client has specifically consented.

D. Grievance-Redressal Mechanism and How to Access It

  1. Contact the Research Analyst: An investor may approach the Research Analyst, who shall strive to redress the grievance immediately and no later than 21 days from receipt.
  2. SCORES 2.0: Lodge a complaint through SEBI's web-based grievance-redressal system at scores.sebi.gov.in. The first review is conducted by RAASB and the second review by SEBI.
  3. RAASB: A complaint may also be sent to the designated email address of RAASB.
  4. SMART ODR: If dissatisfied with the resolution, the investor may use smartodr.in for online conciliation or arbitration.

  • Right to timely redressal.
  • Right to exit a financial product or service in accordance with the terms agreed with the Research Analyst.
  • Right to clear guidance and caution notices when dealing in complex and high-risk financial products and services.
  • Additional rights for vulnerable consumers, including access to services in a suitable manner for persons with disabilities.
  • Right to provide feedback on financial products and services used.
  • Right to protection against coercive, unfair and one-sided clauses in financial agreements.

F. Expectations from Investors

Do's

  1. Always deal with a SEBI-registered Research Analyst.
  2. Ensure that the Research Analyst holds a valid registration certificate.
  3. Check the SEBI registration number using the SEBI intermediary register.
  4. Pay attention to disclosures in research reports before investing.
  5. Pay the Research Analyst only through banking channels and retain signed receipts containing payment details. Fee-paying clients may use RAASB's Centralised Fee Collection Mechanism (CeFCoM) if the Research Analyst has opted for it.
  6. Before buying or selling securities or applying in a public offer, check the recommendation provided by your Research Analyst.
  7. Ask relevant questions and clear your doubts before acting on a recommendation.
  8. Seek clarification and guidance, especially for complex and high-risk products and services.
  9. Remember that you may stop using the Research Analyst's service in accordance with the agreed terms.
  10. Provide feedback regarding the services received.
  11. Remember that you are not bound by any clause prescribed by the Research Analyst that contravenes regulatory provisions.
  12. Inform SEBI about any Research Analyst offering assured or guaranteed returns.

Don'ts

  1. Do not provide investment funds to the Research Analyst.
  2. Do not fall prey to alluring advertisements or market rumours.
  3. Do not be attracted by limited-period discounts, incentives or gifts offered by a Research Analyst.
  4. Do not share login credentials or passwords for your trading, demat or bank accounts with the Research Analyst.
